Hi James,

Been meaning to send u this. I found it in a Kindle forum and the way I read this, Amazon no longer allows posting your link in a competitor's forum:

Initial post: May 16, 2011 2:14:00 PM PDT
Amazon Community Team says:
(AMAZON OFFICIAL)
Amazon recently created a new community for authors. The `Meet Our Authors' community is designed to give authors a space to engage with one another and promote their latest and greatest works.

With the advent of the new community, we will no longer allow self promotional posts in other communities. Starting on Monday, May 16th, all "shameless self promotion" activity will be limited to the `Meet Our Authors' community. Promotional threads outside of these forums will be removed.

We invite authors and interested readers to come join the discussion at:

We look forward to seeing you!

I bought Kindle Triangulation thinking it was another Big Shiny Object. (Those things that cost a lot of money and do nothing). It is not a BSO. This works.

Wrote a short ebook on raised bed intensive gardening and it was on the first page of Amazon the first day. It comes up on 4 first pages for different key words.

In the first week it shows 258 sales.

Thanks for a great product, one that works.

Hi, James,
If we use exact content from our own blog, would Amazon tag it as duplicate content and block it from being used in a Kindle book? If so, is there a way around this (other than re-writing what we originally wrote)?
Thanks,
Anne

i'd like to get familiar with the kdp platform before the class starts but dont know how to set it up. when i setup a kdp account for the first time do i use my real name or a pen name? if i want to publish under different pen names can i do that in one same account or do i have to set up different accounts?

i have an account as an amazon buyer, it says to use that account for my kdp account is that what you recommend?

Hi, James,
I am learning SO much from the Kindle Triangulation course.

I have another question. You mention that you have changed the book titles sometimes to maximize relevancy. When you make the title change, do you send an email to KDP to let them know you are making the title change and that this is not a duplicate-content book? As I understand it, you do not unpublish the book. You leave it published and make the title change.

Thanks for the clarification.

I just finished reading a report on Kindle marketing this weekend about using the Google search engine to find out what is being searched for. I wondered about the feasibility of this transferring to the Kindle because it seemed like 2 different animals. Now I see you saying that action is wrong.

I have just put up 4 books on Kindle within the past month and a half and working on some reports now but have to readjust after reading what you are saying. I wish I had saw your report before the price went up but I'm bookmarking this site to keep up with whatever tidbits you send along.

Kindle just seems like something you have to jump into right now so keep the tips coming. :-)
